BOOK REVIEW- RISKING IT ALL

Griffin Montgomery helps people. As a teenager, he kept his best friends alive after their soccer team's bus crashed in the Alps. Now, as a Coast Guard search and rescue pilot, he saves lives with reckless abandon—until he goes too far and earns a lengthy suspension. Working on the Naked Men projects keeps his mind busy, but Griff's itching to get back in the action. That's when he finds his latest rescue mission: a pretty wallflower who's stuck in her comfort zone.
Chloe Widmore doesn't take risks. As a professional letter writer, she gets enough excitement out of expressing other people's emotions. So when the hottest man she's ever seen invades her coffee shop, Chloe surprises herself with how much she wants to be with him. Routines make her feel safe. Griff makes her deliciously unsafe, in so many ways. But falling for him is one risk she might just have to take . . . whether she's ready or not.   AMAZON

Interesting way for the main characters to meet.  A bit snarky since Chloe hasn't had her coffee yet.   But it did make for some smiles as they kidded back and forth.   Later, we get to see Griffin's mother who isn't the expected warm and fuzzy, cookies and milk kind of woman.  When she has a new man candy, she barely remembers him.
Griffin's closest friends are a group that was given the "ACS" title (the intials from Italian words).   And were formed from a life and death crisis years ago. In English it translates to American Soccer Survivors.   They were more like brothers because of that history.  These guys were all as different as they could be.  I liked how the story started with an intro into some of what they had faced then and some of how they connected.  It also was a good way to show how much of a leader Griffin was back then and still is now.   Chloe's best friend Summer, has known her for so long and because of it can tell Chloe things she'd rather not hear.  That truth is that Chloe isn't really living or having much fun.  She's living predictablity and safey.
Where did the Naked Guys name come from?  Its a guy group blog that the 5 men, started to stay in touch and has out issues.  It gradually grew from there when they opened it up to comments and advice to whoever was out there on the web.  This could definitely cause a huge problem in the making between Chloe and Griffin.  I had mixed feelings about this book and they showed up with some of what I thought was a juvenile handling of a Chloe "problem".  They did have moments of really connecting really well but this?   But then again, its not the only problem that they encounter as they get to know each other.  All in all, I liked the main characters and their family and friends.

I received an ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
