BOOK REVIEW- FURIOUS

Faith McMann comes home to a nightmare: her husband is killed and her son and daughter are taken. Although the intruders leave her for dead, she survives. Crippling grief and fear for her children make life unbearable. Until her anguish turns to anger…and she trades victimhood for vengeance.Frustrated with the law’s efforts, she takes action to rescue her children—and wreaks havoc on the brutal criminals who tore them from her. With her family and newfound allies at her side, Faith descends into the hellish underworld of human trafficking, determined to make those who prey on the innocent pray for mercy.
The forces she’s up against have already proven that their ruthlessness knows no bounds. And there’s nothing they won’t do to turn Faith’s crusade into a suicide mission. But they’re about to learn that nothing is more dangerous than a mother fighting for her children—especially one who’s earned the nickname Furious.   AMAZON

Faith McMann was a surprising character, who went from a normal everyday wife and mother to a ruthless fighter.  Because she had to, for her kids and justice for her beloved dead husband Craig.  With no clues to help at first, she begins to suspect everyone.   No one is exempt from her suspect list.  Beth, Faith's neighbor turned out to be someone with surprising depths.  She turns up only a few times in the story but she was also on Faith's first list of suspects.
I agree with another reviewer on Amazon who said-  "This book is not for everyone. The subject of sex trafficking, specifically children, is the main focus of this novel. If you have trouble reading books that contain the abuse, rape, sexual abuse, and neglect of children, then this book is definitely not for you. There were moments I found myself cringing and had to put down the book to take a deep breath."  Well, put..those were my feelings exactly.. this book was hard for me to read.  I had to take many breaks from the story because  it was so gritty, realistic.  I think its also accurate to say that it was really well written even though it was a tough subject.  There were twists, turns, surprises and interesting people.  Beast, Rage and even child victim "Miranda" too.  Faith's family members were really there for her too, even during her meltdowns.
OK, since were being honest here, I wasn't happy when I found out that this was a story with a cliffhanger.   But then again I guess I didn't really do my homework on this book as much as I should have.
Am I sorry that I read it?  No.

I received an ARC of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
